Would you like to join us in celebrating the creativity of our community? Fantastic! The Rancho Bernardo Community Council is sponsoring a contest to design flags representing our community. Beginning January 21, 2018, the Council will begin accepting 16” x 24” flag designs from entrants in the following categories:

· Pre-School

· Elementary School

· Middle School

· High School

· Adult

The contest is open to Rancho Bernardo residents only, and entries will be judged by a non-member of the Rancho Bernardo Community Council. Participating artists must use the RB logo (example is located at the bottom of the entry form) or the words “Rancho Bernardo” in their flag design. No other words can be used, and designs must represent our community without promoting any race, color, creed, individual, group, or religion.

Pending approval from the schools, flags will be displayed during the first two weeks in April at the schools attended by the winners in each school age category. The flags will be displayed the second half of April at the Rancho Bernardo public library. Flags will be flown the first week of May on the Rancho Bernardo Road median and at the Rancho Bernardo Community Council’s booth during RB Alive. In addition, the winner in each category will ride in Rancho Bernardo’s July 4th parade, displaying his or her flag.
